Under the Electricity Supply Act of 2006, Dominica Electricity Services Limited (DOMLEC) are the current Licensee with responsibility for the restoration and post-restoration operations and management of The System. IRC Quality of Service Standards in Force
DOMLEC has been instructed by the Independent Regulatory Commission (IRC) to adopt and implement the Guaranteed and Overall Quality of Service Standards published in the Commission’s Decision paper on October 10, 2009. An Administrative Order (Document reference: 2009/002/O) was issued to DOMLEC in December 2009 in line with the powers given to the Commission by Section 41 of the 2006 Electricity Supply Act. The Decision was made following months of stakeholder consultation on the proposed regime and various amendments to the original proposal. The Independent Regulatory Commission (IRC) Dominica’s electricity regulator will hold a consultation this week on its most recent Consultative Document “Integrated Resource Plan for Electricity – Demand Forecast”. Key stakeholders in the fields of investment, banking and generation among others have been invited to discuss DOMLECs Forecasting Methodology on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. at the Public Service Training Centre.
