The Independent Regulatory Commission (IRC) Dominica’s electricity regulator will hold a consultation this week on its most recent Consultative Document “Integrated Resource Plan for Electricity – Demand Forecast”. Key stakeholders in the fields of investment, banking and generation among others have been invited to discuss DOMLECs Forecasting Methodology on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. at the Public Service Training Centre. Community Outreach Programme in Dublanc Launched
The Independent Regulatory Commission (IRC) Dominica’s electricity regulator is hoping to broaden public knowledge of its roles and functions through a series of nationwide community meetings. The first is scheduled for the north-western village of Dublanc on June 23, 2009, Dublanc Primary School from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Outreach programme aims to clarify the scope and responsibilities of the IRC as a regulator as well as seeking valuable feedback from consumers around the country. IRC Quality Of Service Standards Consultations End
The Independent Regulatory Commission has ended the first phase of its public consultation on the Quality of Service Standards for electricity supply. The consultations took place in Roseau, Grand Bay and Portsmouth on May 12, 27 and 28, 2009 respectively. IRC Executive Director, Lance McCaskey was pleased with the outcome so far. The Consultation is the second of three planned discussions on a draft set of Quality of Service Standards for electricity supply, following the May 12, 2009 event in Roseau.
